The Uncommon
The Uncommon is a specialty coffee and matcha kiosk, developed around the visual language of vinyl records. Circular forms, layered curves, and rhythmic detailing shape the spatial identity, translating the movement of a turntable into the counter, flooring, and architectural elements. The concept combines functionality with a distinctive brand experience, creating a compact yet memorable environment where materiality, movement, and craftsmanship come together in a contemporary way.

The material direction for The Uncommon is inspired by the visual language of vinyl records, combining deep burgundy fluted surfaces with brushed aluminum, stainless steel, fluted glass, and veined Carrara marble. Circular grooves, polished metal details, and curved architectural elements reinforce the record-player concept, while warm backlighting and vintage graphic references add character and contrast. The result is a bold, contemporary kiosk identity with a strong sense of rhythm and visual cohesion.
